Simple enough. If you're happy about something, why not share, right?
I'm getting my hair cut today! I haven't actually had a major hair cut since summer 2006, but I did get layers last November. It's half way down my back right now, and I'm getting a chin length bob. So, WOO!
(You have no idea how close I was to deciding on getting a flapper haircut. ) _________________

Cute!!
I called my cellphone company today because they hadn't sent my bill out.. and it was such a easy and painless call.. took less than 3 minutes. I was expected to be run around the ringer.. so I am happy for that _________________ "You are exactly my brand of heroin"

The water is now at about 29.3 feet and they're thinking it's suppose to be around 32 feet tomorrow morning. _________________

Lexi, you stay safe! I'm worried about 'cha. I don't want you to be swept away by flood waters.
As for being happy....I'm happy because I went running! Endorphins, yay! I used to be in amazing shape when I was in high school due to cheerleading all the time, and college I lost weight, I was at about 108lbs max for my first year, which was unhealthy because i never ate due to home-sickness.
Now, I'm up to about 120, and that's okay, but I really miss being little. So I've been running lately, and slowly my body is coming back and getting toned again.
So that is what I am happy about at the moment.
Not to mention, I am trying to a new recipe, applesauce spice bread, and it's in the oven right now making my apartment smell delicious.

wow that is alot of water, oh my. I've seen quick glances of that on the news. i'm glad your okay
and i thought i was getin alot of rain where i live.. (canada), nothing compared to what you guys are goin thru.
lol i'm starting to run now as well morgan. i've always been small but, its not healthy to excersize at all (haha for a couple of yrs now)... i guess its called good genes, but i realized i need to get on it, so been runnin for like 40 minutes a day to start off with. Sigh hopefully i can keep up with it, so easily i get side tracked. At least i eat right, but goin to the theatres today with popcorn.. hmm not a good idea... i'll run for 45 today... lol
but the movie made me happy tho, my father had tickets from his work to go see the film, with popcorn/drink for 5 bucks. it was fun _________________

Take car of yourself Lexi! It appears so much worse to me, when there's someone real who shows pics of such floodings...not only the TV!
I'm happy because I graduaded from 'high school' two days ago =)

Take care of yourself Lexi!!!!
I'm absolutely giddy, because I'm finally moved in to my new apartment, and everything is cleaned up. My cuboards are full of delicious goodies, screaming my name. _________________

Oh Nessa...that's my favorite!! I could eat that all the time.
**FLOOD UPDATE** (For those who may be interested) Thanks to everyone for their kind words!!! The water finally hit the crest today but they don't expect the water to go down for another week. We're below the 25% water capacity and on drinking water only...so no showers/baths/washing hands/flushing....ick. We have to boil water before we do anything with it if we do need it. It's nasty...
Some more pictures I took today while stuck on the interstate for 2 hours. That's what makes me the most nervous...all the bridges/interstate they have to inspect.
Downtown City Hall: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g40/SweetieBelle03/IMG_0266.jpg
Railroad Cars leading into Quaker (notice the tree top next to one of the cars...)
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g40/SweetieBelle03/IMG_0285.jpg
House boats that use to be down the river in a park broke loose and floated down to the railroad bridge leading to Quaker Oats:

The library is under water, so is the Czech museum, history museum, art museum...and on top of that, the city has a 9:00 curfew. So if I'm on here all night, that's why. _________________

I heard about that on the news today. Talk about "water, water everywhere," right? So, the water's not rising anymore, but still now receding?
And I have to ask: What about the corn museum place? Or is that even in the same area? _________________

It supposedly went down maybe a foot. There is just no place for the water to go at this point so they don't think it's going to actually start receding to a noticeable point for another week.
I do not know of this Corn Museum...But if it's anywhere near Cedar Rapids, Iowa City/Coralville, or Waterloo...it's likely gone. Our Library/Science Museum/History Museum/Czech Museum...all completely submerged. I was telling Mallis that I don't remember the Flood of '93 all that much because I was only 8. As scary as this is, it's kind of exciting too. (I know that sounds weird) _________________
