So I was wondering...
If vampires can't go out into the sun because they glitter, does that mean they can't go out in all forms of light?
And if so, what happens when they are in class, under the bright fluroescent lights or in the Gym or what not? Because those sorts of lights are quite bright, and are classed as a 'subsitute sun' for indoors. Does that sort of light affect vampires?
I guess artificial light doesn't make them glitter...in that case they couldn't go to school at all... However it is a bit contradictory since SM said that they glitter because of their skin that is similar to to a crystal..so..every light not only UV light should make them glitter
I've been wondering that too. I might be making this up, but for some reason I want to say that there was some mention of Edward sparkling inside....Oh! It was at the graduation party, and the light was doing funny things on the Cullens' skin. You'd think that florescent lights would make them sparkle if nothing else because they reveal everything. _________________
I think they glitter in the sun instead of no other light..is because the sun is so INTENSE. It's everywhere..it gives you warmth, uv rays basically burn your skin off...but a light does not do that. It's not as intense...sometimes it is, but it doesn't burn your skin off...and you couldn't sit with the lamb on in the winter tiem and feel warm.
Maybe it has to do with things that could give a burn to a human making vampires glitter? That's the reason they look strange in the fluroescent light because those lamps...which I was going to call lambs....are the hottest, brightest and more liking to give someone a tan?
I just think it's not as intense as lights. That's why they can sit in school with the lights shining on them without the glitter.
