The Historian

I would definitely recommend The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.

A brief synopsis of this book would be:
A father telling his daughter great stories of the past, involving Vlad the Impaler (known to us mere mortals as Dracula). As the tales go on and become increasingly terrifying, you start to question if these are just stories and if vampires are actually real.

I loved this book. The detail is incredible and Kostova makes you feel like you are sitting right beside her, listening to these amazing stories.
