Soo...that's a weird question I know, but my mom started to read Twilight. She was reading the part where Bella is chased by the bad college dudes...and she started talking about Edward and just explaining where she was.

I felt a sudden urge of jealousy and kind of protection. Like "He's mine" ...It was so weird and I've never had it before, have any of you felt this way?

I haven't felt exactly the same way yet, but I can completely understand you! Sometimes I don't want give to book to people, or I don't want people to read the book at all... It's just that I feel like they're never going to understand or love the book the way I do.. plus I want my own little Twilight world, I want to enjoy it alone...It's disturbing to see others read the books..or make stupid comments.. Hard to explain

No, I've never really had that kind of experience. I borrowed Twilight from a girl at school so I can't claim that he's (or the book in general) is mine. But if someone knocks Edward (or the book) I do become protective.

I understand what you mean ManiacsRose! My friend read Twilight after I told her too, and she was all isn't Edward just dreamy? I was grr back off he's mine.

Luckily she's turned for Jacob now, so I can have Edward all to myself!

Thank you!! Lol. I thought I was going insane..my mom didn't even say she was dreamy all she said was "I like when Edward suddenly came...I knew he would" and this intense feeling of "BACK OFF MOM!" came over me. It was really sad...

Glad I'm not the only one though. But to my own mother?? Gah!

i never really felt that way....in fact i'm glad when others love him as much as i do. yay for people i can talk to about him 24/7

when it come to guys i like in real life, i'm all "back off!!"-y though

I am protective in the fact that I want everyone to be Team Edward! When someone goes Team Jacob on me I am like, "Why? Who are you?" But I don't think that I have been jealous of anyone for liking Edward too...well I hid the bodies so that there was no one to be jealous of now...

haha I think that as well. Then I realise that I'm one step closer to having Edward all to myself if everyone's on Team Jacob.

Now just to convince Bella to switch...

Don't you dare!!! That's another weird thing..if I hear anyone say things like "Bella should be with Jacob" or something along those lines...I freak. I'm like NOO BAD PEOPLE WHO SAY SUCH THINGS!

I guess I might be protecting Edward from people for Bella saying he's mine to them so that it's kind of a double-binded thing..and Bella can have him. That's so weird.
