|
|
So, everyone seems to have different tastes in music and it's really interesting to compile them all in one folder. Also, a lot can be said about that mood you were in during the time you were reading... or sometimes it was just a song that played randomly on your iPod. Whatever rocks your socks. And don't be afraid to keep adding. (:
Let me start...
Halo - Oleander
And it's always little things
That to the surface brings
The comfort in the pain
The fear behind the smile
We lose along the way
The things we leave behind
Along the precipice
Of things we should not climb
And I'm the first in line
There's an anchor around my heart
Dragging me down
Behind the waves in silence I fall
There's a halo above my head
Spinning me 'round
'Cause I don't know if I'm alive or dead
A dagger in my hand
Bleeding me dry
And it's always little things
That to the surface brings
The space you need to breathe
Before the curtain call
The light that leads the way
Before you hit the wall
The mountain that you climb
Just to take a fall
For blind among the blind
There's an anchor around my heart
Dragging me down
Beneath the waves in silence I fall
There's a halo above my head
Spinning me 'round
'Cause I don't know if I'm alive or dead
There's a dagger in my hand
Bleeding me dry
And all we have to lose is time
And what lose we leave behind
Stay around and we will shine

Look After You by the Fray.
I'm not even a big fan of The Fray but this song is really sincere and describes Edward's feeling for Bella to a T.

I am a huge Maroon 5 fan and there are a few songs I think fit each book. I posted a link to each video so you can hear each song to understand.
This Love- Twilight(How strong Edward and Bella's love is over the two of them)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaS1FmkYFh4
She Will be Loved-New Moon (Bella's feelings on missing Edward and Jacob comforting her)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8IQlax-egE&feature=related
Won't go Home without you- Eclipse (Bella/Jacob/Edward song, if fits their love triangle perfectly because each guy won't let her go)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gskuP-8dtSU
I also think most Within Temptation and Evanesence fit the Twilight series too.

I listend to alot of stuff- here's a few.
Dashboard Confessionals - Vindicated.
Boys like Girls - Heroheroine.
Relient K - Be My Escape.
Paramore - When It Rains.
On SM's site it has playlists of what she listened to while writing the books. She has an amazing taste in music, when I read that she liked alot of the bands I like, my admiration grew even more! Haha. _________________

YES! More Maroon 5 lovers! WOOT! I also love Stephenie's taste in music and the playlist on Hisgoldeneyes.com is really good too.
Now, that Death Cab song sounds really good, I need to go check it out.

Oh man, I had a whole playlist for Twilight, NM, and Eclipse
Claire De Lune is an obvious.
Also Chopin's raindrop prelude- the piano makes me think of Edward and rain reminded me of Forks.
Aside from classical>>
Comatose by Skillet (Bella)
Better than Drugs by Skillet (Bella/Edward)
Under the Rose by HIM (Edward)
Lithium by Evanescence (Bella-NM?)
There were a bunch more but I can't remember... _________________ Robert Pattinson doesn't like kids. Well, Rob, I WON'T say I want to marry you. Instead, I want to have your babies. Just to spite you.

I find myself listening to a lot of Debussy...well one Debussy piece in particular. And its NOT Claire de Lune. I'm fixated at the moment with Preludes, Book No. 8.
And the other pieces of classical music on my classical playlist. Oh, and Frank Sinatra. I don't know why, I just get this urge to listen to Sinatra when I read the books _________________

"One Sweet Love" by Sara Bareilles (Moreso for NM)
"Sleepless nights you creep inside of me
Paint your shadows on the breath that we share
You take more than just my sanity
You take my reason not to care
No ordinary wings I'll need
The sky itself will carry me back to you
The things I dream that I can do
I'd open up the moon for you
Just come down soon
Savor the sorrow to soften the pain
Sip on the southern rain, as I do
I don't look, don't touch, don't do anything
But hope that there is a you"
"Morningside" by Sara Bareilles (Twilight)
"I’m not scared of you now
Or so I say
There’s no reason to run
Although I may
I’m not as sure as I seem
This much I know
What does it mean when you leave and I follow…
I could try to forget what you do when I let you get
Through to me but then you do it over again
I could rage like a fire and you’d bring rain I desire
’Till you get to me on my morningside
Keep my distance I tried
No use
But no matter the miles
I’m back to you"

Love Sinatra. I'm actually not a huge fan of Debussy or any 20th century composers, for that matter. They're good, but I'm more of a romantic-era fanatic, hence the Chopin. _________________ Robert Pattinson doesn't like kids. Well, Rob, I WON'T say I want to marry you. The scariest thing about your suggestions is that I have all three of those songs on my Twilight Playlist too! I don't know if they're on SM's as well. I made it a few weeks ago after reading Twilight for the first time. I'll have to check out her playlists.
Favorite Twilight Songs:
The Truth, Good Charlotte
Iris, Goo Goo Dolls
I've Fallen In Love With You, Joss Stone
Favorite New Moon Songs:
The Great Disappointment, AFI
Famous Last Words, My Chemical Romance
Favorite Eclipse Songs:

Understand, Joss Stone
