Seth, Stephenie's brother, who runs her official website, has posted a small update on the Midnight Sun page.

What it says:

June 2008 Update: In response to the outrageous number of emails that I have received with questions concerning Midnight Sun, I talked to Stephenie this weekend and she asked me to let everyone know that Midnight Sun is her next project. She has not yet finished writing it (and there is no timeline set up, so we all need to put a lot of effort into being patient for a while longer), but she is definitely still planning on having it published. And, after Breaking Dawn comes out, Stephenie will have much more time to focus on writing Midnight Sun.

eee yay!

this makes me so happy...happy that it's not really going to be completely over on august 2. then again, if bella ends up with jacob or for some reason bella and edward don't end up together...midnight sun will probably break my heart into a million more pieces...aaggh.

Oh I don't want it to be over...I'm relatively successful in suppressing that thought though...
I'm very positive about a happy ending of the Twilight Saga...I feel like unhappy endings are just not SM's way of writing

but is it really likely that bella will get turned into a vampire in a book aimed at teens? i don't know...i really really want it to happen...but i don't think it will.

or maybe i'm just setting myself up for heartbreak so that if it doesn't happen, maybe it won't suck as badly. haha.

omg...they have to be together...aaaaaah!

umm not really, but yea, but kinda not...

idk. but i'm looking forward to midnight dawn too. but breaking dawn first. where edward and bella WILL END UP TOGETHER. (as if my typing that all in caps will make the cosmic forces do what i want them to haha)
