Rosalie's News "Extra"

“Of course, I’ll always love you… in a way. But what happened the other night made me realize that it's time for a change. Because I’m…tired of pretending to be something I’m not, Bella. I am not not human. I’ve let this go on much too long, and I’m sorry for that.”

"Meaningless. All of it was meaningless. My very existence was meaningless."

One more reason I can't wait for Midnight Sun! We were all talking in the other thread about how New Moon would be from Edwards perspective. I don't think I'd want to read it because how depressing of a book would it be?? But this little bit that SM offers kind of does make me wish she'd do the entire series through his eyes.

Rosalie is such a bitch here - in my opinion. Just the way she tells him and everything. Although she thought her intentions were good I just wanted to reach through the monitor and smack the hell out of her.

"It was like time had ended. Like the universe stopped." I have to admit that I was happy to actually "hear" Edward being miserable. I know, I know, as if going to off himself in Volterra wasn't obvious of how miserable he was....but to see it on paper, something to actually read and tell us more, it made me glad. I know he thought he was protecting her but he deserved to be as miserable as she was.

What'd you all think?

That is really good!

Actually, it clears up a lotta confusion for me. I never got why Carlisle rang Bella that day, it never really clicked. NOW I understand!! lol

Wait...Wait...Wait...this is mind-boggling to me! After Edward called and Alice told Jacob and Bella that it was Edward...it still seemed like it was Carlisle to you?

I'd never think that would happen...crazy. That's just mind-boggling. That would be confusing.

But, you know, I thought Midnight Sun was going to be Twilight from the perspective of Edward, not New Moon, isn't it? Or did I just thought it wrong?

No I am pretty sure you were right. Midnight Sun is Twilight from Edward's POV

Oh, wow. Thank you so much for that link. I had never read that before. Says it's from 2006.

Does anyone know if Stephenie Meyer is currently working on Black Sun? Last I heard someone close to her released part of her manuscript on the Internet and she stopped working on it.

I would absolutely love to see the whole Twilight Saga from Edward's POV. And then there are all those possible spin offs. What I'm really dying for is the story of Jasper and Alice. Those two have a relationship that is complicated and fascinating. I think Jasper keeps Alice sane, literally, as in she'd be catatonic or just plain crazy without him to keep her regulated or balanced. And I'm not sure what Alice does for Jasper, but I think it has something to do with reflecting the emotions he manipulates in Alice back at him. Just my theories.
