Great movie, if taken as a separate entity from the books, in my opinion. I know its about vampires (which, hey, we all love here) lol. I'm just curious about your reaction to it.

I personally think the soundtrack rocks, and I hope Twilight's is kind of like it.. rocky.. darkish.. sexy.. rawr.

I've never read the book, so I don't know how off the movie is, but I like it. It's kinda hot.

Yeah, the soundtrack is rockin'. It totally screams vampire.

Yes...the movie is good if you HAVE NOT read the book...or just are really good at thinking of movies and books differently. Ok...maybe I was justa little obsessed with Lestat at the time of watching...I'd probably, possibly like it more today...*shudders at thought*

Here are some complaints..I noticed.

1. Marius nor Lestat had blonde hair
2. ARMAND HAD BLONDE HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OUTRAGE!
3. Marius was Lestat's maker...NO BAD!
4. Pandora was hideous.
5. Maharet and Mekare did not have enough ....information.
6. Lestat and.............GAH I forget her name, it sucks. The girl related to Maharet...did NOT know each other until later.
7. That is not how Akasha dies.
8. Armand has BLONDE HAIR!

.............I really can't think of anymore at this point in time.

Haha.. I'm sure there are plenty more (the girl's name was Jesse, btw). But yea.. when I read the book I was like "what the hell?" the movie is nothing like this. Suck.

I do know that they had to change the ending of the movie when Aaliyah died. Obviously because of that some drastic changes had to be made..

But yea, seperate from the books.. the movie was fantastic.

I do like the book and the movie separately. I think that Stuart Townsend did a wonderful job being SEXY and dangerous. Yum.

I read the book after I saw the movie, and it makes more sense in the book as to some of the actions that Lestat does in the movie (such as create a rock band...)

I don't know, I like both book and movie a lot. Very Happy

OMG I loved this movie, which I have not read the book either, mainly because of Stuart Townsend, who is so hot as a vampire!! Smile Anyways the soundtrack is amazing, thats how I found out about some bands.

I saw Queen of the Damned well before I had to read Interview with a Vampire for my senior english project, but aside from the books, I really thought the movie was great. And I agree that the soundtrack was done just right-- the perfect amount of sexiness, darkness, and vampireness blended together into one badass soundtrack. Smile

There's a song from the Resident Evil soundtrack that reminds me of vampires, too, but that's just because I'm a nerd and I listen to it in my car all the time. Cool

Indeed. The soundtrack was badass, I mean, KidneyThieves and Rob Zombie? Can't go wrong with that.
The movie itself was dark, goth, if you will. But generally good. I saw it before I started reading the VC.
In relation to the book:
Lestat didn't have the right hair colour, neither did Marius. Marius wasn't Lestat's maker. And Lestat did not chance Jessie. And basically, every other character was not in the movie except that the end and there you didn't know who was who anyway. And then, at the end where Marius visits David, that was completely made up, and David wasn't changed, as you would assume he was at the end.
