Vampire animals?

“ ‘And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…,’ he murmured.
I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word. ‘What a stupid lamb,’ I sighed.
‘What a sick, masochistic lion.’ ”

Vampire animals?

Not too sure where this should go, but do you guys think animals could be vampires? Like if the Cullens wanted a pet dog for eternity, they could make one a vampire? Just curious.

In theory i don't see why it wouldn't work...
i mean theorhetically, how they would change a person should be the same way you'd change an aminal, no?
the only problem i think that they would run into would be keeping their pet also a vegetarian... which would be kind of weird... but i think if they wanted one they could...
a vampire dog... i'm sure they'd love that...

If you don't mind me asking, who's Cujo??

I could so see the Cullens pulling a joke like that

'cept I could see Carlisle with a little white fluffy cat stroking it, the cat with dark dark eyes that turn red only after hunting..

OMG that would be scary. Vampire cats. And I thought my cat was scary enough as he is now...

Cujo is a Stephen King book that was turned into a movie. It's about a rabid dog that's, well, rabid. He is pretty scary canine.

Haha Carlisle is totally a cat person!

I remember reading about this somewhere, I think it was a thread on the Lexicon.
Anywho, I think it was decided that it was either impossible for an animal to turn into a vampire, or else, it just isn't possible for them stay alive with the venom in there, because it was doubtful that the Cullen's would waste an animal like that.

I can't find the thread after much searching, but maybe it will pop up again. It is kind of funny to think about the Cullen's with a pet immortal Vampire dog. What would it's power be? lol.
yet, also terrifying. A blood drinking dog.

they would make some really wicked guard dogs though, eh?

or maybe a good guard-cat...

i kind of picture alice having a guinea pig... like a real one... i don't know why, but it kind of makes me giggle, thinking of her having her own guinea pig, as opposed to Bella, her guinea pig barbie...

or better, she could name her guinea pig barbie...

Oh lord a rabid dog? :? that doesn't sound very pleasant! I was thinking more on the lines of 'Hey! She's watched the Aussie version of Kath & Kim...now whenever they show it on TV, and they show the dog, I'll be thinking of vampiric, rabid dogs!

LMAO guinea pig vampire. It reminds me of that kids book about the rabbit that they think is a vampire because it sucks the juice out of all the vegetables....I think it was called Bunnicula.

It's kind of a kids book, so maybe like 150 pages if that. I read it in fifth grade or something. It was fantastic and adorable. :D

Hahaha, I'm so glad this was brought up. I was thinking about it today when I was playing with my dog. I was considering, as always, being a Cullen haha, and I thought, "hmmm... I'd miss my dog though... but what if?" I suppose it could be possible. Though it would be a horrible idea I think. There's no way to reason with an animal about the vegetarian thing and with the superhuman strength and speed, it would be difficult to keep it from doing what it wanted. Maybe if you made a vampire animal out of an herbivore? haha, then maybe it might work. Or an animal that couldn't do as much harm to a human, like a little terrier or something? I'm sure there's a way around it.... but it would be... weird.
Alice: “I’ll play you for it. Rock, paper, scissors.”
Edward: “Why don’t you just tell me who wins?”
Alice: “I do. Excellent.”
