I only read the books till Nakes Empire when I got sick of all the mind jobs Goodkind tries to describe. But Chainfire is standing in my bookshelf.
My personal favorites are Temple of Winds and Faith of the Fallen.

For some strange reason when I first read "The Bird Man?" I thought you were playing me..lol. It was quite humorous.
I can understand your adversion....that just popped into my head and I rarely use the word....to the books after Naked Empire. That was a bit ridiculous if you ask me.
But the last three books are quite good. It gets a little dry, but the last one Confessor makes up for it...bellieve me. If you like Nicci, she is much more prominent in the last three.
My favorite is indefinitely Faith of the Fallen. Don't stop reading them. There's only three left, don't stop. They're good and the last one does patch things all up.

I am, for one, an enormous fan of the Sword of Truth series.
I was introduced to them by a friend and could not believe how fast I was into them!
