Esme and Carlisle is, by far, my favorite couple.

I with their relationship could be focused on more so, though I highly doubt such will happen. I find their love so true, so pure and genuine. After being together for so long, it's hard to believe they haven't gotten tired of one another. They can share that intimacy that all couples share, without even touching each other; a mere linkage of the fingers seems to be more than enough. They seem to exchange so much in a single glance. They are both so accepting, so understanding of each other in dire situations. Oh, how I love them.

That's one thing I absolutely, adore about our vampires. There is no second guessing. Their relationships are truly forever. I find it terribly romantic, and terribly brave (I'm not going to lie, I'm a tab bit afraid of such a commitment). Esme and Carlisle have such a deep relationship that it's just...kind of breathtaking.

I know! I love Carlisle and Esme. They are the in laws that I will want! They are so loving, caring and open-minded. They really do want what is in Edwards best interest! Like ya'll I really hope that we learn more about their relationship.

What I really love is that the other vampire series that I'm reading (while waiting for BD to come out) is how SM's vampires have so much emotion. In other books, the vampires always struggle with that and seem to never know how to display it or just don't even try. But in these books they want to act human, they want to have the emotions and don't have a problem showing it.

I really like how there doesn't seem to have to be many words at all between Esme and Carlisle and you know exactly how they feel about each other. Honestly, how many times do we hear about the two of them talking? I agree that Esme/Carlisle are the ultimate couple.

Have you guys read Esme's back story? It makes there relationship all the more perfect because he truly was like a Savior to her in so many ways.
She saw him as a young en' and was dazzled (of course [;). Then he saved her life and gave her the life shed always wanted just never knew about.
They're so attuned to each other. True soulmates. Not that the other couples aren't just that theyre all so young and still in that kind of newlywed phase i guess you could say. Like they still act young where Esme and Carlisle are more quiete about it but they have the longest relationship and the strongest in my opionion.
