YAY! So today, I brought Twilight to TAFE so that my friend, who wants to know what all the fuss is about, can read it.
She wrote the Preface onto one of those styrofoam cup thingys, because we were bored in the lecture, and left the book on the table. My fmy other friend, who was sitting next to her, picked it up and started reading it.
She never put it down. We were on break, and she didn't get up, look up what have you. Another converted! She loves it - she thinks Edward is gorgeously horrible to Bella (as far as I know she is only started Phenonemon), and that Bella is incredibley nuerotic.

lol actually i quite like tha fact that men get obsessed with twilight as well...it kind of takes the clichée of the squeeing teenage girl readers away, you know?
and if your hubby takes up some of edward's gentleman-like charcter traits...well, taht wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen right? ^^
That very true, it wouldn't be the worst thing ever to happen, but it is a tad bit "awkward" that he likes Edward over Bella...it can be seen as a good thing, but as a bad thing too... -Though I do have a guy friend who loves Edward Cullen, because he wants to be just like Edward, but alas, he knows it cannot be so, yet Edward is still his favorite character; so I'm hoping my hubby is the same way as my guy friend.
I've became ill lately and right now I have a fever.
aww no
get well soon!
i think it's really cute, a guy trying to be like edward...i have a mental image of a stephenie's kids reading the books and going like "i wanna grow up to be just like edward, mommy"
i get how it would be a tiny bit awkward though, in a certain way. _________________ oh Cedric....you're hotter when you're Edward Cullen!

Thank you, actually I did get well quite soon (the fever was caused from Gardasil-it's a guard from Cervical Cancer, which you get three injections by a doctor, but my third injection gave me a symptom-the fever, so it went away quite fast, though I missed my god-sister in the hospital).
I finally got my boyfriend/fiance to read Twilight. He really liked it and was very studious when it came to the book. He wrote notes down to ask me questions that he still had or to make sure a certain point was clear. It's so adorable. Now he's bugging me for New Moon. =) _________________

My Dad was the one who got me into reading, and we're always swapping books to read. I finally persuaded him to read Twilight. He loves the idea of the story - Bella and Edward trying to have a relationship, even though he wants to suck her blood - and is interested to see how it all turns out, BUT... he thought the actual story itself was kind of boring. I KNOW I KNOW!!! My mouth fell too. He was like "Bella is forever going on about Edward. 'Oh his skin, his breath... his skin!' It's like.. I know already, you like the guy, now carry on with the story and stop going on.'
HE JUST DOESN'T UNDERSTAND!!!! But he will be reading the other books.
I have a mate who is interested in the movie, lol. I keep going on about the books and the movie, and saying who was in it, etc. She saw a photo of Rob Pattinson, and now she's head over heels for him. Now she'll tell ME news about the movie (even though I have already read it - but it's all good). Today she tells me that the second trailer is good. I showed her various videos that have been about recently, and she goes "shes such a lucky sod to get manhandled by him", and "I dont want to be excited about it Jo!" So I have hope! She hasn't read the books yet, claiming she has too many other books to read, but she'll definately be going to see the movie, which is a start. Oh, we were also talking about the EW cover, and she affectionately refers to us all as the "Twilight nerds", haha! _________________

My boy read it all by himself, no push from me at all?
I'm an avid reader, and usually we share interests in books, so when he saw me with it he asked about it and I simply told him he could read it when I was done, but that it was gushy and romantic in some points. He was hesitant, but when he heard the word 'vampire' out of my mouth, he was hooked.
Weirdly enough, my normally video game obsessed, totally into playing football and martial arts boyfriend, has now become a fan. He pre-ordered Breaking Dawn and told me not to, but he reads slow, so I'm hoping I get it before him >.<
Anyway, he recently got his cousin and best friend to read the books. They didn't seem to interested. But ever since he read the first, he has seemingly become more charming. Usually, he's one of those sarcastic ones, but somehow he comes out with the charm every once in a while. We argue though, because he seems to hate Jacob (reminds him of my best guy friend >.>) It's quite entertaining.
Long story short, I think I have an almost close to Edward on my hands. The other day we went to hang up and I said the usual "Love you!" and got "You are my world, angel." Jaw dropping, really. _________________

We went back to TAFE this week, and I haven't seen my Twilight obsessed friend in AGES so it was really good to catch up with her again. She made me laugh though, cos you know those Beanie Bear things? She bought me a vampire one of them cos I run with the vampires. XD It says his name is Fang, but Eddiepuss sounds much better. He's a vegetarian vampire-bear as well, cos he doesn't drink blood, he drinks read cordial. lol.
When I get a bloke, I'm going to make him read Twilight. At least just up until the car bit. That's when people seem to get sucked in. _________________
i think i'll buy a german copy of twilight and make my boyfriend read it...he doesn't normally read, so it won't be easy. i'll have to use all my dazzle-power to make him read it lol
i did show him the movie trailer but he wasn't too thrilled...but i think i'll go see twh movie with some female friends anyway. so we can squeal and drool better, lol
there are beanie bear vampires? cute, i want one !! that was really sweet of your friend to get you one _________________ oh Cedric....you're hotter when you're Edward Cullen!

the first person I actually made into a Twilighter was my older sister, one who doesn't usually read novels targeted to the young adult audience. second was my close friend.
as of now, i am currently trying to make my Literature professor read the series. oh, and my other female friend too _________________
