I know that sometimes when I have a British side to me. Sometimes I'll want to say, "Mom," but when the word comes out of my mouth, I pronounce the word as "Mum," same as to get someone's attention, I say, "Oi!" instead of "Hey!" though I really meant to say, "Hey!" (Saying, "Oi!" to get someone's attention makes everyone stare my way.) Especially with the ending of a short sentence, I place "then" always at the end, such as in this sentence: "Are you going then?"
The most oddest thing for me to admit may be, when ever I worked at Starbucks, when someone started off with, "Hey! What's up?" I stumble and forget what exactly they are asking. Even though I should be used to those three words, I always still wonder if they're meaning, "What are you up to?" "How have you been?" or "How are you?" So I always ask, as kindly as possible, "Hm?" _________________

Okay - well, I talked to dear old Mama, the expat from the Britlands herself. And she said it may have something to do with the fact that the Brits like to give names to everything after actual male names (she actually pleaded ignorance at the whole 'j' thing - bloody Brits!) For example Jerry - German, Tommy was an English soldier - John, the toilet etc. _________________
It's kind of like a hoodie, but without a hood and pocket in the front.
I was watching Monk the other day and a character was asking the guy dressed up as his mom for some "sugar" and the detectives were like "What? Sugar? Go to the kitchen!" I automatically to it to mean that he wanted a kiss, because that's what my babysitter would always tell us, "give me some sugar." Is anyone else familiar with this expression? Or would you have directed the guy to the kitchen, too? _________________
I learned from Jane that guys in Colombia don't wear sandals with shorts or jeans.. That's an American thing. hehe

In spanish the accents are very different, specially of people from Spain, Mexico and Argentina. I love the Argentine accent it's pretty cool!!!! _________________

I'm not sure either...I orignially thought it meant 'gimme a kiss' as well, but who knows? lol I would send them to the kitchen - depending on what they looked like of course

We have a saying, "Jack-the-lad", which just means that a guy is a bit of a typical guy, but not in the evil bastard sense, but more in appreciating the female form sense and would make jokey comments and flirt a bit. Or that's how I have understood it.
Some, in London, also say they're going for a Jimmy Riddle when their going to use the toilet, as it's cockney rhyming slang for piddle.
But I don't really know what the thing with names is, lol.
One thing that I find pretty funny is how Americans pronounce Oregano. An American friend of mine say it like or-reg-a-no, is that the same for everyone? I'm from the UK, and we say or-ree-gar-no.
The same mate was reading part of Twilight out loud, and I burts out laughing when he read "albino". He says al-by-no, where as we say al-bee-no _________________
