THANKS!

I thought it'd be cute if the words were all in a college font and maybe the back had golden eyes on it.... I'm not very tech savvy so I wouldn't know how to create that....haha

I think it's a great slogan! But coming from the UK it confused me for a bit at first - because of the different laws, I don't consider Edward to be underage, but that doesn't really matter.

Also thought I'd bring over the idea of badges that was mentioned in the "A way to recognise a fellow Twilighter..." topic.
A badge could have ".: The Twilight Hour :." on it, with Twilight Academy underneath. Unless that would be like copying the idea. So we could come up with our own way of recognising fellow TA-ers Smile

I saw a banner where 'bella' was wearing a Twilight Academy shirt and on the back it said Cullen 08

Are there shirts out there to buy like that?

I think you are talking about this picture, but I could be wrong.
click for picture.

If not, could you like the image? I want to see. Smile

But we could look into that as a possible shirt to sell...It just cost a bit of money to make shirts, and there needs to be a demand for them before it's wroth actually going about making them....in saying that, I still really want a TA shirt.

Hey guys! I think having shirts and merch would be really cool, although I have to say, isn't it technically illegal to buy/sell stuff associated with Twilight? I don't see the harm in it since we're fans who will still buy official stuff lots of times (not to mention tons of books and movie tickets) I'm just pointing it out in case anyone is squeamish about bending the rules!

Anywho...

I've been looking into both cafepress.com and another site called zazzle.com and they both have some pretty cool options. Tons of people already have Twilight themed merch up there, and both sites let you design your own stuff pretty easily. If you want images someone creates it on their computer with photoshop, gimp, etc. and then uploads it. If you want text zazzle at least allows you do that in lots of fonts and colors right on their site. The cool thing about zazzle is it allows you to make one basic shirt, say it has the logo and slogan for Twilight Academy on the front, but then each buyer can customize their own. For instance one person wants a t-shirt, one wants a tank top, as long as the seller sets it up that way you can get whatever you want. Also you could put your name on it somewhere, or I don't know...your favorite character...or something less lame than those ideas lol, the point is everyone could have a matching shirt with a customized touch on the back or whatever. ANYWAY...just thought I'd point those options out.

Price wise both are about $20 or so for a customized t-shirt, but the fancier you get the higher it goes obviously.

The other good thing about both these sites is we don't have to order like 100 shirts and hope we can sell them. You just create the shirt, save it in your personal "marketplace" or "store" post the link here, and then each individual is responsible for going there and buying it. It doesn't cost anything to have your design posted for sale, so even if you only sold one it would still be ok.

I was playing around with slogan you guys came up with and made this just as an example (I'm not saying we would use this, this is just to show what the site is like...although I think my little Twilight Academy button logo is kinda cute lol, but we do anything we wanted):

http://www.zazzle.com/cr/design/pt-shirt?dz=097974b5-586e-4f11-af2c-4de6cf95adce&side_name=front&style=ladies_casual_tshirt&color=yellow&title=Twilight%2bAcademy%2bDesign%2b%25231&front_type=horz&side_front=horz&back_type=horz&side_back=horz&size=a_l

Hope this helps! I'm so excited that we have this new forum. I'm a sophomore at Ohio University and the Twilight discussions are few and far between lol.

If this idea is still to be realized... There's shops like this in Germany, too (for examplewww.spreadshirt.netbut I'm sure there's many other sites) it's quite easy to open such a shop..we could do this for every country we come from, with the same motives..it would save a lot of shipping fees!
