Oh, I love this topic. Music makes my world fall away all the time if it's the right song, and thank God something does or life wouldn't be livable. Ha ha, the back of my ipod says "Without music life would be a mistake", it was a quote from some composer and it sums my view up perfectly.

Anywhoo....

I second the people who mentioned Meg & Dia and especially Brand New. Pure genius. My favorite bands are probably Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin both manned by Andrew McMahon, who I just feel writes the most beautiful lyrics and melodies in the world.

My newest obsessions are Missy Higgins and Keri Noble and I HAVE to share a couple of BEAUTIFUL songs that relate to Twilight SO MUCH...I'm making a video for both I think, but anyway...

I think this one is so perfect for how Bella feels in New Moon after Edward leaves. It is perfect for her feelings, Jacob/Charlie's feelings about the situation...so good...sigh!

"They Weren't There"-Missy Higgins

You breathed infinity into my world
And time was lost up in a cloud and in a whirl.
We dug a hole in the cool grey earth and lay there for the night. (Lines 1-3, B about E)
Then you said, "wait for me we'll fly the wind,
We'll grow old and you'll be stronger without him" but oh,(Lines 4-5 what J would say to B about letting go of E...I love the "grow old" comment since that's something E couldn't do with her)
Now my world is at your feet. I was lost and I was found,
But I was alive and now I've drowned.
So now I will be waiting for the world to hear my song
So they can tell me I was wrong... (B about E and the world telling her she was wrong about him all along)

But they weren't there beneath your stare,
And they weren't stripped 'till they were bare of
Any bindings from the world outside that room.
And they weren't taken by the hand
And led through fields of naked land (Reminds me of the meadow)
Where any pre-conceived ideas were blown away...
So I couldn't say "no". (this whole chorus is so B about E and people not getting it)

You sighed and I was lost in you, weeks could've past for all I knew.
You were there blanket of the over-world and so I couldn't say,
I wouldn't say "no". But they all said, "you're too young to even know,
Just don't let it grow and you'll be stronger without him"
But oh, now, my world is at your feet. I was lost and I was found,
But I was alive and now I've drowned.
So now I will be waiting for the world to hear my song
So they can tell me I was wrong... (B about E and people not getting it again, but I love the drowning reference because it reminds me of the cliff jumping)

But they weren't there beneath your stare,
And they weren't stripped 'till they were bare
Of any bindings from the world outside that room.
And they weren't taken by the hand and led through fields
Of naked land where any pre-conceived ideas were blown away...

But they weren't there beneath your stare,
And they weren't stripped 'till they were bare
Of any bindings from the world outside that room.
And they weren't taken by the hand and led through fields
Of naked land where any pre-conceived ideas were blown away...
So I couldn't say "no"

What do you think? This is already so long and I don't want to hog the thread so I'll post the Keri Noble one after a few other people share.

~Love Song by Anberlin (I can't seem to find the lyrics to it anywhere)

~We Belong Together by Gavin DeGraw (I actually felt the strong aura that flowed out of this song)

~Ooh Ahh by The Gritz (Sounds like paradise in the beginning)

OH MY LORDY I LOVE ALL THOSE SONGS!
You got some nice taste in music.lol.=]

But the song that just kinda zones me out and into that "place"
is

HIM
BEAUTIFUL
Just one look into your eyes
One look and I'm crying
'Cause you're so beautiful

Just one kiss and I'm alive
One kiss and I'm ready to die
'Cause you're so beautiful

Just one touch and I'm on fire
One touch and I'm crying
'Cause you're so beautiful

Just one smile and I'm wild
One smile and I'm ready to die
'Cause you're so beautiful

Oh and you're so beautiful
My darling
Oh you're so beautiful
You're so beautiful
Oh my baby
You're so beautiful
And you're so beautiful
Oh my darling
Oh my baby
And you're so beautiful

I think the three songs off the top of my head are...

-- "Silver Springs" - Stevie Knicks
-- "Hide and Seek" - Imogen Heap
-- "The Scientist" - Coldplay

There are many, many more but those are my three
