Does anyone else think that Lost jumped the shark??
I loved all the seasons up to this one - each episode left me in amazement at the end, anticipating what was gonna happen in the week to come. It was exciting, and I really liked how they had good character development, with the backstories all relevant to events on the island, and I believed that there was a point to every detail put in the show.
But I've been very disappointed this season. I'm starting to feel like there are all these mysteries surrounding the island, but nothing gets answered. So much crazy stuff has happened, that it's impossible to keep track! It almost seems as though the writers just randomly put stuff in there that seem cool, without really knowing where they're going with it.
For instance:
What do the numbers mean?
What was up with the four toed foot statue?
Why did Walt appear in random places and talk backward?
What's up with the whispers on the island?
What happened to the people on the Black Rock?
Why was Echo's brother on the island?
What happened to the stolen children?
What was that weird light at the end of season 2?
Why did they get parachutes of Dharma food in season 1?
How does the island heal people?
What's up with Smokey?
Why are there polar bears on the island??
And the list just goes on. To the point where every time a new weird thing comes up (as they do each episode), I'm just getting annoyed, because I know they'll never give any answers. _________________
YES!! I completely agree with you. I've pretty much given up on watching the show. Pardon the unintentional pun but there's no better way to say it, the show got me lost. I honestly have no idea what is going on right now with it. _________________

I lost interest after season 2. I think that somewhere around season 2 or 3 not only did the audience 'got lost', but also the producers themselves. The show was way too slow-paced. I didn't wanna watch another Jack/Kate/Locke/Sayid-flashbacks. Gosh it got sooo boring. Like, yeah I already know Kate is a fugitive, do we really need another 4 Kate-centric eps about that?!?!
But I still watch the show... only I'm multitasking a lot when it's on. I think that now they know how many eps are left, they're working towards the ending and kinda keep killing all these ppl that won't make it off the island... _________________
I'm still into it but I'm still confused with everything Instead of flashbacks, there are flashforwards now with the ones that got off the island! I'm just getting annoyed. _________________ Girl your final journey has just begun

Lost has...well lost me. I was lost with the whole polar bear on a tropical island thing in the first season. The only reason I kept watching was cos of Sawyer _________________

I was so glad when I saw this, because LOST is just about the best thing on television. So I would have to respectfully disagree, because I think the show has only gotten better since the begining. While of course there are always more questions being raised, season 4 has given us a lot more answers since the creators have nailed down an end date for the show. Lost is one of the things I am completely obsessed with, so I follow it pretty closely, and most of the things you mentioned, you will eventually get answers for -- except for the numbers maybe, the creators said they may never give an explanation for the numbers other than they are bad luck. But, hang in there, the reast of the season is said to be amazing, and you will find out a lot things according to all of the things I've read! _________________ Beeswax, Not Yours, Inc.
you're always surprised by something and they make you think about the plots a lot, wanting you to try and figure out what's going on...
i love jj abrams (creator of lost, also of alias, one of the best shows ever!) because he always has these really deep characters and mysterious storylines...
he respects the audience's intelligence and makes their brains work a little, instead of dulling them.
and of course: sawyer is the hotness. ohhhh yesss!
