I would feel ridiculous if most of the clues have been in print all along. But it would also be kind of neat for that to happen, just because it would show that SM's writing skill is superior, as we already know.

See, this is why I am not sure about Bella becoming vampire. Remember in book two, the beginning. When Bella thought that she was talking to her Grandmother and it was actually just herself looking in a mirror.That is why I still don't know if she will become a vampire...
That was a major fear that she had. We all knew it. That would have been her future because that was Edward's plan all along....that's the reason why New Moon happened. Edward needed to see what it would be like without her and also for her to make her choice period.
I don't think that was a foreshadow, because it was too much of her fear and something that would have happened if it were not for New Moon anyway.
O agree. I don't see it as foreshadowing. It's like one of Alice's hazy visions, a possible future but not set in stone. It's just what could have happened if Edward hadn't left.
Yes I have to agree...that was definitely just Bella's greatest fear, not by any means foreshadowing at all. I just can't wait for BD to come out...the suspense is killing me.
