I started a thread like this over at TwilightTeens so i thought I would do it here too. I love children and I can't wait to have some of my own. It's always fun to know people about children and parenting, so here's this little threat where we can discuss that. Enjoy!

Well I am already a parent. I have 2 little boys they are 4 and 2 (fixin to be 3). before I had them I always said I wasnt going to have children (my sister had 4 and I lived with her during sleepless nights and other not so fun things). when I found out I was pregnant at the ripe age of 17 I was scared (because I was so young), but I was also excited. Sometimes I wish that my babies would have come later on in life, but now that I think about it they came just in time, they helped me put my life in order, they helped me mature and they showed me I could survive some of the toughest things in life (got the scars to prove it lol). Now it hasnt been all giggles and smiles, it has been hell, and I tell that to all the young girls that come to me and say "Oh I want a baby" but I wouldnt trade it for the world, they are my life.
I didnt know if this would be related to this thread, but it's something about parenting. _________________

Generally I like kids. I was a soccer coach for two years, and i actually loved going to work every day to play with them...
I have a thing for mentally handicapped kids... All of the autistic kids would sort of flock towards me...
When I find my Edward and such... I want like 4 kids... crazy i know, but my family it italian, we always have loudness and people all over the place... _________________

Oh man...I like kids. I love kids, actually. I want to be a teacher and I think that it will be the best job ever...my students have been so inspiring and fun to be around...I don't think there could possibly be a better way to occupy the work portion of my life...
but having kids of my own...that scares me. haha.
It's not so much the raising kids part that scares me (I'd like to have a couple eventually)...but I'm terrified of the BIRTHING part. Haha. The idea of having something growing inside of me...and stretching out...and the pain! I don't know...I'm a wimp!

oh I know... thats sort of the intimidating part... watermelon sized things aren't supposed to fit through grapefruit sized holes...
which is probably why i want to adopt a kid or two so i don't have to actually do it four times....
wouldn't life seem so much easier and less painful if we could just have a little stork drop them on us like in Dumbo? ( i just watched it so i thought of it ) _________________

| Haha, yeah. I'm not opposed to adoption...the world is overpopulated as it is! But I guess having a baby is an experience I also sort of don't want to miss out on...I don't know. We'll see. I'll probably adopt because I'll convince myself that it would be selfish not to. haha.

but we can all be selfish every now and then...
and i'm the one who would maybe want to adopt some sort of mentally challenged kid because no one seems to want them, and i seem to get along with them pretty well... _________________

I guess all women are frightened at the idea of giving birth, it's a natural reaction. You really can't prepare for it, it's just something that you have to go through in order to be a mother, at least that's how I think about it. It may be painful, but the result is worth all the pain.

I have a baby boy... he's gonna be one in July... it was the best thing I ever did... having the baby that is... didn't hurt as much as I expected even with the messed up inducement meds they put me on... it wasn't even the most painful thing I've been through... _________________ There is nothing I can do to change your mind

one of my psychology teachers this term was talking about her horror stories from having one of her kids...
basically the doctor was a real idiot... but right then she made like half the girls in my class not want kids...
nothing is going to stop me from having my own little monsters running around in a few years.
i mean that in the most endearing way possible though _________________

I love kids, and can't wait to have my own. I only want two though - although that is very highly unlikely because I'm the next generation in my family to have twins - because I just have to look at my parents to see the pain and suffering it takes to have three, very different (and now teenage) kids!
So I definately do want kids at some stage.
I love helping out with Kid's Time at church. All the young kids are so adorable _________________

oh ih know.. kids really do say that darndest things...
there was one day when i was coaching soccer at the park and the kids saw a squirrel come run across the field, that they decided to chase after the squirrel... Like all 20 of them, which then lead one of my other coaches chasing the kids around the park... I almost peed myself I was laughing so hard with the other parents... I think these were the 3 and 4 year old kids...
maybe it was just one of those things that you had to be there for, but it was amazingly fantabulously funny _________________

I have been thinking the same lately; there are some many children in orphanages lately...but then people make it so very hard to adopt one child-some of it makes since, but it's kind of ridiculous! You have to wait years before actually adopting a child, then you have to pay over thousands...it's terrible!
So I have also been thinking about having my own child lately, and it frightens me a little too, of course-and it's NOT the labor that makes me edgy, but because of a little bit of my personality that gets me in the fritz. I know that I will take my time out and be more graceful-ish if I get pregnant, but I am truly afraid of two main qualities that I have, which are clumsiness and boldness. Those two traits are NEVER my best friends, and what would happen if I fell down or something worse happens by accident and just because of those traits?
I mean, I may get over it within a year or so, but that's usually what frightens me the most about having kids. Can I be "gentle" enough to have a child? _________________
