So I'm curious to hear about all of your amazing hugs you've experienced and I mean the ones that haunt you to this day. The ones you still can feel and the ones that leave all other hugs lacking. I'll start seeing as I'm the one curious about this.

Well I was at my mom's work party, I know it sounds lame , but Fire fighter parties are far from lame. Anyways I usually just sit back and watch the older people get sloshed and giggle to myself about how stupid they look. This particular party had me hiding in the house rather than out in the backyard with everyone else. I was avoiding my crush in an attempt not to like him anymore. It was a failed attempt I'll say that, but anyways as it was inevitable he saw me and we talked and I swooned over him all over again. Well after our brief interlude I went and hid away again. Then it was time to leave and he happend to be there when my mom told me so. (side note I was 18 at the time) So I said goodbye to him quietly and he stood there practically glaring at me and I didn't know what the deal was, so i turned to leave. He cleared his throat and I turned to see why. There he stood in all his glory with his arms open waiting for a hug. I cautiously stepped closer and then he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into him gently, but i stumble and he ended up catching me in his arms and then he hugged me with my head on his shoulder . I felt so small next to him. I felt protected and content and it was the longest hug I've ever had. Now thanks to him no hug is ever the same. sorry i like to write.

I've had about three best hugs in my life. I can't remember them all, of course, but there are three that I remember.

Free Hug No. 1:
It was in 2006, when I was at my friend's joint birthday party, and my guy friend that I liked hooked up with one of my best girl friends (long story!). Anyway, I had been putting on a brave face all night, and then someone said something (not related to the incident) and I cracked, bursting into tears. It didn't help that I had been drinking a fair bit, but I'm lucky, cos I'm one of those people who still remembers what they did even if they get completely pissed. Anyhoo, my best girlfriend came over to me, wrapped me in a big hug and said to me, "It's okay, don't worry about them." She and I hugged for ages, and then we had this HUGE D&M, and I got asked by five different people if I was stoned, cos my eyes were all red from crying. My girlfriend must have given me a million hugs that night!

Free Hug No. 2:
About six months after the mentioned incident mentioned above, I finally had the guts to tell my mum about it. Now, my mum and I are the closest people in the WHOLE world. I tell her everything, but for some reason I couldn't tell her this. I managed to though, one Sunday night, and she held me while I cried and told me off for not telling her sooner, and then we were both crying because when I move away next year I won't be able to hug her for two years.

Free Hug No. 3:
This was from my best guy friend, on the day he left for uni. We had gone out for lunch and to go stationary shopping, and then when he dropped me off home, he pulled me in a tight bear hug and I said "I'm going to miss you," and he said he was too. It was a really nice moment, to know that I can have such a great non-sexual relationship with a guy where there isn't any interest in THAT way.

You're hugs do sound amazing and they reminded me of the Time I got a hug from my heros. The lovely men of AFI. I would detail it but that would be a mass story better told in person.
