Forgive me if there is a thread similar to this somewhere, I just had a fun experience and had to share!!

We can post stories here of how random, seemingly unimportant things in our lives are related to Twilight, or make you think of it.. (basically an expression of our geekdom). Very Happy

So today, I went to this family owned zoo a few minutes away from my hometown with my folks while I am visiting them. It's a really neat experience because they take the animals out of their cages and let visitors interact with them. The first thing I did after I paid to get in was went over to a playpen that some people were looking at. Their were 8- week old wolf cubs in there!! I got to hold one, and I giggled as I thought to myself "this is what Bella and Jake's kids could have looked like" (I know, geek!! lol) . Poor guy was so tiny he barely kept his eyes open. Anyway! They started making all these cute noises and such, it was fantastic.

Then, walking around the rest of the park.. we came across a HUGE pen for.. you guessed it: Mountain lions. There were two of them, and I just smiled the whole time I stared at them and *again* laughed to myself about how easy Edward would have it if he was hungry and randomly at a zoo.. Anyway, my mom saw me laughing and asked me what was up, I tried to explain, she didn't get it.. made me sad.

And thats it.. I just had to share (I also held a baby baboon.. but that wasn't really Twilight related).

Haha...my mom doesn't understand either.

My heart skips a beat every time I see a silver Volvo...I'm sure that happens to everyone though. Haha...at least I hope it does! Shocked

Some friends (one of them had just read the series) and I went to the zoo a couple of months ago, and when we got to the grizzlies I said something like "He looks a bit irritable," and she did not get it. I explained of course and she had a hardy chuckle.

You're not alone, Nessa! I point out all Volvos, even ones that aren't shiny and silver. Did you know that Volvo makes back-hoes and such?

I have a cold right now and I'm pretty stuffed up. I woke up and pinched the bridge of my nose cause it hurt...when I realised what I was doing, it made me giggle and think of Edward. Haha, lame!

^^Haha

At Waldenbooks today, a friend and I found a book about Porches, and in it was a yellow 911 Turbo. We were rather excited. Did you know that they can go up to 189 mph?

Anything that relates to Twilight catches my attention right away. If the words Switzerland, Edward, Volvo, etc. comes up my attention focuses to the source of it. It can get annoying at times since I should be paying attention to something else. Haha. Oh well.

if it makes you feel any better, I was actually at hockey and someone had mentioned something about hockey in Europe and mentioned Switzerland. And I turned to them and made some comment about being a neutral country... needless to say they looked at me like i had grown another head...
there's really subtle things that people say that my mind automatically makes me think of the book... actually in school quite often too... which is really strange, considering most of my classes are psychology related...

Ok this actually happened today and it was soo adorable. So in my Child Psych class we are having a daycare, where we can interact with the kids and observe them(In there natural habitat lol) Anywhooo so today we had them dress up as princesses and superheroes. Now there is a boy in the class named Joey who is quite possibly the most adorable little boy and one of the little girls walked up to him in her full on Cinderella gear and said,"Joey I want to be your princess" and Joey gave a half smile and all I could think was Edward. Very Happy

OME That is so Edward, that's great. If only he had given a crooked smile..that would have been fabulous. That's such a cute story..aww.

Ok another crazy Twilight reminder. I was driving home from the Minnesota Zoo and I see Jacob Ave. I'm like hh that's weird. Then I go like four more blocks and there is an Edward drive craziness. I had never noticed. I live on Swan Drive so that also freaked me out a bit:)

^^ Haha, that's so great.

Genyvievre, I had one of your Switzerland moments the other day. I was in a car with some friends and the car in front of us had a Switzerland flag bumper sticker on it...and I randomly started discussing they're neutrality. Haha...they clued in when I added the bit about mythical creatures.

I also just realised that I live a few minutes away from a Volvo dealership...I drove by today and siiiiiiiiiiiiighed. haha
