Oh my gosh yea, haha Charlie.. It would be hilarious to hear what he thinks.. and what all Bella really says in her dreams..

I never really though about the fact that we get to hear what Charlie thinks about Edward, Bella, their relationship the Cullens, etc. Very interesting! But probably sad too, during the scene where Bella has to get out of Forks quickly to avoid James. She really hurt him, but, of course, it was all in his best interest.

And despite being jealous, I also am glad Rob got a chance to read it.

I want to know if Charlie really hates Edward or if he's just being all overly protective father.

I mean...Edward never seems sad whenever he hears Charlie's thoughts....I don't know why but if he really didn't like him, thought he wasn't right for Bella....I'd think Edward would be a bit perturbed...haha....I completely used that word without knowing if I used it right or spelled it right for that matter.

I really enjoyed the first chapter, I really hope it doesn't take to long for her to get the whole thing out. I am fairly new to the Twilight world, but I have been so impressed with Stephenie. I wish every author was as dedicated to their readers, I love that she is as excited to stay in the twilight world as we are. I am wondering if Midnight Sun will be able to stand on its own or if you will have to have read Twilight first. I think that it would appeal more to guys because it is from a guys perspective. All I know is that I can't wait to get more of the mind of Edward! Wink

I really believe that MS will be able to stand on its own.
It has such a different tone from Twilight. Darker, more mysterious. My boyfriend read the first chapter and he says he already prefers it from Twilight.
Maybe it will help the books reach a wider audience.

Just Twilight.
Stepehenie's been asked many times to do it for NM, Eclipse, etc., and she said she wasn't planning on it. I think she got asked this question at a Host sigining event, and she said something about how New Moon from Bella's perspective was depressing, but Edward's perspective would be unbearable.

Thankfully we had a huge snow storm a few months ago and everything shut down - of course that was after I traveled to work and then they decided to close - but I literally sat down and read the huge chunk of chapters where Edward is not in NM because I wanted to get back to him and Bella being together.

I'm not sure I would want to read NM if it was in Edward's perspective. Of course, if it were to be published or anything I'd still read it, but think how incredibly emotional of a book that would be? I didn't get a grasp on exactly how hard things were for Edward in Twilight until I read the first chapter of MS, I'm sure NM would be twice as hard. And the whole plotting to "kill" himself. Too brutal for a book in my opinion.

On SM website there is that extra from edward's perspective when Rosalie calls and it is so sad he can only think of Bella. I can't imagine 400 pages of that.

It would send any reader into a depression to read that from Edward's point of view...imagine poor Stephenie who has to write it. That would be months of saddness for her to endure. I'm okay with just imaging it and experiencing it from Bella's side.

I think Midnight Sun will go well by itself. But I wish she would do a chapter from New Moon and Eclipse..just one chapter. I believe she said that she was going to do one chapter from New Moon, and I think that would be when she gets hurt...you know what he's thinking and what he tells Jasper.

but I would love to see what he's thinking with Jacob..his reactions to Jacob you know. I would love it.
