So who else in here is just in love with Borders?

I know I am!

Borders opened in Perth early last year (I think) and has since been some what of a novelty for me, cos whenever we travel up to Perth I must go to Borders.

Well yesterday I caught the train up to Perth cos my family and I saw The Chaser's War on Terror Variety Hour (FANTASIC!!!) and I wanted time to look around the city.

I didn't look around the city. I spent five hours in Borders.

The thing I like about Borders is that I can walk through the literature section writing down a list of all the books I want and what the prices are, and no one will stop me.

I like how I can sit in the middle of the children's section reading storybooks and no one looks at me funny.

I like how I can sit in the middle of the YA section and read the sexy bits from Eclipse and no one looks at me funny.

And most of all!!! I like how I can buy a colouring in book of The Very Hungry Catepillar and the saleslady goes to me: "I want one!"

So do you love Borders? Do you have a Borders story to tell?

I love Borders!

I think I might possibly love you because of how much you love Borders.

haha, no, seriously, being up in Vermont, there is no Borders. It's awful. But when I am at home, I spend hours at the borders that is about ten minutes from my house. I too, have sat there and read entire novels and had a yummy cup of coffee and no one cares. It's wonderful.

However, I am jealous about the fact that no one looks at you funny, because I do feel quite funny going into the young adult section so often. My borders is located near a private high school for boys and they are in their often with their private high school girlfriends, all preppy with their uniforms and annoying and giving weird looks to those in the young adult section.

Well...long live borders. Barnes&Noble just doesn't cut it for me.
