I was totally in love with this show while it was on the WB. I have the first 2 seasons on DVD, and still watch it when there are marathons on Sci Fi. Any other fans? My favorite couple was Micheal and Maria. The best episode has to be the christmas special, I think season 2, where Max saves the little girl who is sick, and then ends up healing all of the kids in the children's ward.

I used to watch Roswell, but then they moved it to UPN and I stopped watching it! But I still like to watch episodes that we have recorded. Smile

The UPN move was in I think their 3rd season. And it kind of started to suck. People got married, and died. Blah. When it was on the WB it was in it's prime. That's cool that you still watch it every once in a while. Smile

I loved Rosewell sooooooo much.

Then it got kind of "eh" in the middle seasons.

But it was pretty decent toward the end.

At least I think so. haha ; }

I went a bit Roswell obsessed for a long time. My whole family (minus dad) were!

Max is absolutely gorgeous...YUMMY!

The future Max episode was one of my favourites too!

And Izzie is Katherine Heigl!

And Tess! Go the Aussie! She freaked me out a little actually.

It ended really bad though. I was like Crying or Very sad no more Roswell to watch!

I loved Maria - she's so kooky! And Alex, the guy friend (I think that's his name?) SO SAD!! I cried! Crying or Very sad

This past year, my friend and I watched all three seasons of Roswell. She's read Twilight as well, and the entire time we watched season 1 of Roswell, we just kept saying how much like Twilight it was! Actually, we were convinced that Stephenie must have seen Roswell when it was airing, but google searched it and found out she didn't. Season 1 was really the only one that was Twilight-esque, but it was ridiculously so. Liz was Bella, and same with Max to Edward. Shiri Appleby would have made a fantastic Bella if she were still high school aged.

Anyway, some quotes from Roswell that could have happened in Twilight (if Edward was an alien):

After Liz got shot and Max saved her...
Max: You broke the bottle when you fell. You spilled ketchup on yourself. Don't say anything, please.

Liz : Okay, uh... So help me out here, Max. I mean... what are you?
Max : Well, I'm not from around here.
Liz : Where are you from? (he points up) Up north. (he points higher up) You're not an... an a... alien... I mean... Are you?
Max : Well, I prefer the term 'not of this earth.'

Liz: I need to know the truth, Max. I need to know everything, or I'm just going to go to Valenti and tell him everything I know.
Max: Okay.
Liz: Okay. Where did you come from?
Max: I don't know. When the ship crashed, I wasn't born yet.
Liz: So there was a crash?
Max: All I know was that it wasn't a weather balloon that fell that night.
Liz: The ship crashed in 1947. You're sixteen.

Liz : OK, I’m still confused. If you crash-landed in 1947, are you really 16 or are you like 52 in a 16-year-old’s body? Or do you guys just age differently? I mean, is like 1 alien year equal to 3 human years?
Max : You’ve thought about this a lot, haven’t you?
Liz : Kind of.

Max : When I saw Valenti taking you away like that...it just hit home for me, you know? How much knowing me has screwed up your life.
Liz : No, it's just the opposite.
Max : Thank you for saying that.
Liz : It's the whole truth, Max.
Max : I better go.
Liz : Why?
Max : Cause if I don't go right now, things are going to change.
Liz : Change, how?
Max : I'm going to have to touch your hair...cause it's so soft...and I'd have to tell you that...no matter what we go through, it's all worthwhile for me because we're together.
Liz : And then?
Max : And then... I'd have to do this... *kisses her on the lips*

Liz : I just wish that I could have stopped you from saving my life that day in the CrashDown.
Max : Don't say that.
Liz : Max, the day that you saved my life, your life just ended.
Max : No, that was the day my life began. Liz, when I was in that room, and they did what they did to me. You're what kept me alive. The thought of you. The way your eyes look into mine. Your smile. The touch of your skin. Your lips. Knowing you has made me human. Whether I die tomorrow or fifty years from now, my destiny is the same: it's you. I want to be with you, Liz. I love you.

.... Sorry for the overload of quotes. But they really do remind me of Edward and Bella!!

Holy crap. I never noticed how similar the two are!
Maybe that is why I am huge fans of both. Very Happy
It's nice to see that SM never even saw the series, it is totally on accident.

Well .... she said she never sat down and watched it, but that her brother was a huge fan, and she saw him watching it sometimes. So I suppose you never know ....

Oh and, apparently her brother had a Shiri Appleby shrine in his room! haha

OMG. I love Roswell. Like some of you said, that Christmas episode was so sad but amazing. I didn't like how the series ended though.
Max & Liz are worse off than Bella & Edward...such tragic love.

I love Roswell. That Christmas episode was beautiful, and Liz and Max do resemble Edward and Bella. I liked the episodes where Max and Liz were kind of bad asses, I don't remember which epi's they are though. My fav couple though would have to be Michael and Maria, I just love Michaels attitude.

And michL87, great quotes to put up.

Ohh yes, the first episode of season 3 where they broke into that convenience store to get a look at the spaceship. The rest of season 3 was just okay though - I found that I was forcing myself to watch it just to get to the end.

Michael and Maria. For some reason, I never really got into them. Actually, Maria kinda annoyed me, I'm not sure why. I do love Michael though, although he made some bad hair decisions after the first season.
