that side flappy thing better not be real...omg.

i saved the first chapter...there are reasons why i'm not sure if it's real either. i don't want to get in crap for posting it online though! i suppose i could email/facebook it to someone!

I have read the whole chapter one!!! I'm sure it is the original one!!! The preface is AMAZING!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
but when I went back some hours later to see it again it wasn't there!! so I think it was the original Shocked

they put something about the copy rights and I couldn't copy or save it before they remove it Sad

wow!! now I just can't wait for the book! and the bad news for me is that it'll be in Colombia only on October 31st Crying or Very sad

the cover is a complete misterious! I can't understand what does it mean!

(sorry for my mistakes but I have written so fast for the entusiasm!! Very Happy

i think bella is the queen..and the way the chess board is set up..the red pawn cnat get to the queen without destroying her..so maybe the red pawn is edward? because he cant be with her without destroying her mortality or something else?

I don't even know if that is the cover...because it seems so different from the others, seriously. It just...doesnt' seem right.

Of course I have no idea..and would never know, until May 31st...which is COMING UP!

Taken right off SM's website, NM FAQ section:

"you know that the apple cover had a lot of meaning for me, and I was an active part of the covering process. However, that experience is more the exception than the rule in the publishing world. Something to keep in mind if you intend to embark on a career as a writer: lots of things you might expect to be under your control are not. Covers, for example. Those are mostly up to the publisher and the marketing and sales departments. So I don't know what the tulip means—I didn't have anything to do with this one.

There wasn't anything under Eclipse but I'd imagine it's the same thing. So whether or not the cover to BD holds anything at all is up in the air.

Okay so my boyfriend and I have been discussing this. haha.

So we were trying to come up with what was going on and he was putting out stuff "because he's an English major." (Roll eyes here). Haha. When it all of a sudden hit me.

The two chess figures are a pawn and the queen. I was thinking this symbolizes Bella completely if she is turned into a vampire.

The pawn would be the human Bella all weak and what not. The queen would be Bella as a vampire strong and deadly. She's leaving her human self behind.....get it?!

niiiiiiice interpretation!

the queen could end up being someone like rosalie who refuses to agree with bella becoming a vampire...some stone white queen standing in her way.

Regarding the cover....I don't really care much for it, to be honest. There's no real reason as to why I don't like it *shrug*

This is how I interpret it: The queen is vampire Bella, the pawn is some blood-filled human that she can easily knock off the chess board of life.

I do like the preface and chapter though. I'm glad we got to see Charlie's and Renee's reactions. And poor Jacob Crying or Very sad

Same here. But I did think at the beginning when she was talking about how she barely touched her foot to the pedal and the car sped off...I was thinking she may have already been turned. Just for a quick minute that's what I thought.

Renee's reaction wasn't what I expected, and I for surely thought Charlie would try to kill someone. But I liked it all. I like the cover and all the theories everyone is coming up with.

I still don't feel bad for Jacob.
