I read it at tuesday in English (the thing is I didn't understand everything.. It is a little difficult for me Embarassed

but I'll read it in spanish!) obviously I loved it!!! It's awesome!!
I laughed very very much when Charlie asked them the pregnant thing Laughing

I can't wait for the book!!

Alright...so I wasn't able to read the first chapter yet My family will not let me take the car to go to borders, read the first chapter and back...say it's a WASTE of gas. BEYOND ME!

Soo..I was wondering..to the people who DID read it. IS IT the spoiler? The one that was posed prior...is it that eh? Because it surely didn't sound like it, and then the whole...teaser bit of the first chapter on E something or other..some website...didn't seem to fit with the one I read before.

And the chapter that we have here...under "The whole thing!" thread....did not sound like Stephenie Meyer,a nd it some places not even close to Bella. Sooooo....that's why I'm asking.

^^ I don't know what exactly you read, but what's in the book did seem to be written a little differently, like SM's writing style matured.

I didn't read the one that was posted on-line previous to the release today so I'm not sure if it is or isn't like that one.

But I really liked it. And like I said in another post, where Bella is talking about how she barely touched the pedal and the car took off...I thought she had already been changed and just not use to her strength. Only thought that for a minute or two. Both Charlie's reaction and Renee's reactions were not what I thought they'd be. I surely thought Charlie would have killed someone.

I still don't feel bad for Jacob. Don't get me wrong, I want him to imprint on someone and leave Bella and Edward alone. But I WAS really surprised at Edward and Seth becoming friends.

I think Bella is going to end up with Edward, simply because of her "happy place". And yes, I also laughed a lot about the pregnancy thing.

It's a lot like The Host's writing style. If you read all of the Twilight books in a row, you can see how SM develops her voice and matures it throughout the series. I also didn't read the spoiler chapter(s) so I have no idea if it's the same thing or not.

lol i read the chapter at the airport bookstore, while waiting for the plane. I didn't want to buy another eclipse, totally laughed outloud at the pregnancy thing, as well as edward's choice of car for bella. Can't wait for this book to come out haha... i searched up that guardian Mercedes, it looks very nice.[/quote]

I was wondering, how did they explain the car to Charlie? I mean did they say it was Carlisles? It would seem a little off if Bella said "Oh yeah dad, I know Edward is only 17, but he's insanely rich." Even if they did say it was Carlisles, wouldn't it be kind of odd in human eyes, that your boyfriends father let you drive a car such as that?

Just a thought.

Did the first chapter make anyone else laugh? Not in a bad way, but as in a funny way?

I mean, the truck. I loved that it conveniantly died. I loved Charlie's reaction to Renee's reaction to the engagement.

Most surprising was Renee's and Esme's new found friendship. It just strikes me as odd - those two are on the completely different end of the scale when it comes to personality and parenting.

I like the idea of a relationship between Seth and Edward. It's a nice touch. And I'm going to get throttled for saying this, I know but I hope Jacob stays in Alaska

Charlie's reply totally reminded me of my parents...the same thing happened to them and they were forced to get married but it all worked out for the better so what-ev right.....but i just love charlie anyway i think he's hilarious a great father figure

see i loved how scared bella was of telling charlie; im going to add this to my signature:

"Hey Charllie," Edward called, entirely relaxed.
"No!" I hissed under my breath.
"What?" Edward whispered back.
"Wait till he hangs his gun up!"

i was getting my car inspected and the guy looked at me funny when i couldn't stop laughing.
