Okay..so there may not be many, but are there any classical music buffs out there?

I love classical music, and I'm a dancer so I was introduced to classical at a very young age.

I have so many favourites - Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Andre Rieu, Debussy, Brahms, Mozart, Strauss... the list goes on and on.

The most played song on my Ipod is Romance, by Prokofiev from Lieutenint Kije. I also LOVE Andre Rieu - he is so good! (listening to Pour un Flirt atm!)

So are there any other classical lovers out there? Who are your favourites?

I'm not really a classical music buff or anything, but I like it. Chopin is my favourite.

I love vlassical music! I played the violin for 13 years! These are just a few of my favorites.

Grieg Piano Concerto
Praeludium and Allegro by Fritz Kriesler
Concerto No. 1 Frist Movement by Bruch (AMAZING!)
Hoedown by Aaron Copland
Don Quixote Overture by Telemann

I'm picky about my classical music! Smile But there are a lot of composers that I love. Bach...he is my homeboy.

I'm a music major, so I'd like to think that I enjoy classical music to a degree..... Wink lol. My favorite genres of classical music are French Impressionism, Baroque, and Russian. I'm a pianist so I'm partial to piano pieces, but I'm a sucker for a good symphony. I hyperlinked all the composer's names to my favorite particular pieces. Hopefully someone might gain a new love from this post lol.

Favorite orchestral composer hands-down is Ravel. Debussy is a close second, especially with L'Apres-midi d'un Faune. That piece makes me melt. I also love Poulenc, Beethoven, and Shostakovich. Tcaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1 is amazing.

Composers for piano... My favorite to play is Bach. He's so intelligent and sophisticated. My favorite to hear is Rachmaninoff. I'm working on his Prelude in b-flat major Op. 23, No. 2. Most of his pieces are so hard to play, but in the end, they're so worth the trouble of learning.

I have picked a few favourites, but it's not much.

Vivaldi, Debussy (Lol, not because of Twilight), Mozart's The Magic Flute, Handel, Verid's La Traviata and Bach.

I agree that Andre Rieu is an amazing classical composer, I really can't remember which of his pieces nearly made me cry, but the songs he composed are beautiful.

My faves so far are Beethoven, Chopin, Sebastian, Debussy and Mozart. Beethoven's song, "Fur Elise" I know it's famous, but it's beautiful.

I bought the 100 Beautiful Melodies CD the other week, and it has my most favourite piece in the world on it - O Mio Babbino Caro - and it made me cry!

Yes it is so beautiful!

The first time I heard it was in the movie I Capture the Castle, and I went out and bought a CD just cos it had that on it!

Such a coincidence that Edward Cullen likes Debussy....

Classical music is great, I really love it. It's all I listened to at night for years when I was smaller. I'm not really well educated in it, but it's what I still put on the shower radio every day. :]
