Of course, I have a million stories that I've never finished, but I've had several chapters finished of them. The closest I came was literally only a few chapters away from being done when my computer crashed.... That was years ago. Now I have my "Help me edit my story" friends keep backups for me just in case.
I would like to write a novel. I'm actually currently working on a sci-fi/teen+ drama novel that I have high hopes for. I have a good outline for it, but it's subject to change as hurdles come.
I'm excited that I'm actually writing a novel by myself again... I mean, I took a long hiatus from writing, only Roleplaying with friends or on sites online. But now, I'm really writing again.

"I love to write and am fairly good with words, but my problem is, I don't write on demmand. I wrote a fanfic. for Twilight and I had a lot of hits the first month. I wrote and wrote, and one day, stopped. I just couldn't think of where the story should go. I've abandoned it for over 4 months. I think my fans are pretty pissed. I've recently been trying to write a story that takes place in a society where there's rich and there's poor. And they can't mingle, sounds lame, but hopefully I'll pick it up."
How do you get into roleplaying on Myspace? I've heard an awful lot about it, and it seems like a good idea to develop characters!
All you have to do is choose either a character from the series you want to be from, or design an original character. You can choose to be the character from a specific spot in the story (IE: Say for instance, you choose Jacob -girls and guys often roleplay as the opposite or same sex, it really doesn't matter- anyway, say you choose him, and you want to play him as prior to the ending of Eclipse, and make up a different ending to the book, you can do that. However, a lot of people will choose you based on how you roleplay. If you are pre-Eclipse Jacob, only certain people will roleplay with you.)
Like, how I've choosen Alice as my character (Actually I have a original too named Aurelie, but her profile is underconstruction). The spot I've choosen is post Eclipse, but I'm not going to far, I'm not deciding what will happen in book for, I'm just kind of lingering in the summer after they graduate, until BD comes out and gives me some new material.
If you want to create a profile on myspace, you can't use your email if you already have a myspace account. That means, you have to make a new email for every additional account you take on. You should definitely try and put up rules and guidelines asap so people can see how you wish to roleplay.
Some people will only be one-liner (They can send you a short comment like a normal myspace might be used for) and you can reply, or Para (A paragraph length post), or Multi-para (Multiple paragraph post). I'm all of the above, I don't force any roleplayers to play a special way. But a lot of my mains end up being Multi-para as well, probably because if I send a starter, it's usually multi-para.
Speaking of which, mains are your main family. You can have 12 Bellas if you want, or you can have one. People usually create a blog to list their families. Starters are opening comments which get you writing with someone, it usually has to set-up where you are at, and what's going on. You know, like a usual story.
If you want an example, check out my Alice Profile:
I´m writing on a story for 3 years now.. *lol*
I have the ideas in my head but I never manage it to finish it, cos I have not the time for it atm
But I´ll finish my story, it is a fantasy story..
the last days I began also a new one, this time it is a vampire story, but in another way than the twilight series *lol*
It is my dream to bring out one or more own books in the future, so Ì have to wirte.
I also write poems and FF´s and I´d love to roleplay, but I have no experience in this and I´m too shy to try it
I'm in the middle of five different stories and six I have yet to start. The only problem is my writing seems to be dictated by a very tempermental muse and it's hard to determine when he's feeling up to writing. Any tips on how to fix or compromise with a tempermental muse? _________________ Just this once will you let me be your forever? Or will you simply leave me here to rot in glorious misery

I would have no idea! My muse, whoever he is, sits there, and controls my writing. Some days he doesn't want me to write, some days he does. THEN, when I have a burst of inspiration, he sometimes takes it away from me! ARGH!! _________________
I know what you mean and it gets highly annoying and not to mention makes me a little testy. _________________ Just this once will you let me be your forever? Or will you simply leave me here to rot in glorious misery

/Raises hand!
I started to write a vampire wanna-be love story a few days before I picked up Twilight, so there are some unintentional things about my vampires [they're also vegetarians!...well sort of] that are similar to the Cullens.
I'm a member on fictionpress.com with the pen name Annwyl, if anyone's interested [click the website button].
It's my first story. I'm a poet more than anything else, but "The Rays of the Sun" is my first try at prose. _________________
i'm sort of an on/off writer...sometimes, i have phases in which i literally write every day and plots keep popping up in my head. then there are times when i write poetry...and sometimes i don't write at all.
i'm sort of facing a dilemma though...coz everything i write in german sounds stupid (not just my stuff. it's something about the language that makes it impossible to say beautiful things without sounding awkward or cheesy) and i obviously can't publish it on the internet coz i'm not on any german boards or communities or whatever. and even thought my english is okay to get me through the day and write my personal journals and stuff, it's not good enough to write good stories....the descriptions just aren't that nice and don't have that smooth flow if you know what i mean.
when i do write, i imagine everything as if it was a movie. so i'm basically describing what i see, and that gets a little difficult sometimes.
anyway...i started writing this vampire love story (haha no really?) and it's like 45 pages long but i'm rarely inspired to keep writing....i've never finished anything and i doubt i'll finish this.
writing is really hard and i admire everyone who does it

WoW!
When I posted this thread I had no idea so many people would reply back! It seems we all have a lot more in common with each other than just Twilight, which is excellent!!
My writing's off at the moment. I can't think properly, because of so many things going on TAFE wise, that I can't find that strength to sit down and write.
THAT SAID HOWEVER, I did sit down last night (at 2:45am in the morning) and wrote the prologue and first chapter to my Twilight FanFic. Maybe I should get drunk more often, I had ideas pouring out of me.
Is anyone else doing the fanfic contest? It's exciting!! The fanfic I'm writing now is the one I'm using for the contest. _________________
I started to write a Rosalie/Emmett fan fiction..but I can't get past a half a page. I was going to try to enter the contest, but nothing .....came. It was sad.

writing when you're drunk works so much better! i was actually gonna do that too last night but then i was just too tired...it was about 3.15 or something and i really wanted to go to bed and just sleep and sober up lol _________________ oh Cedric....you're hotter when you're Edward Cullen!
Rob, you can stand under my umbrella - also when it's not even f*cking raining

AND THEN
