Lately, Lymikimmie and i have noticed that slowly but surely, the forum participation has been slowing down. We started off with a bang when TA opened, and were going pretty steady for a while. And though our member list keeps growing, we see less and less being posted each day.

We are curious as to why this is. Is it because during the past few weeks, school has been coming to a close and everyone has been busy with finals? Or is it something else? We are looking for some insight into this problem.

Also, is there anything that you can think of to get participation up? Maybe a contest of some sort? We are open to suggestions! What do you want this place to have?

Please respond to give us some insight, we don't want this place to close down!

If not, we're going to have to send Edward Cullen to your house to talk some sense into you! You've been warned.

a suggestion? A contest would be cool. But one for everybody. I've noticed on lots of other forums, there's always graphic designing contests, but never anything for the unartistic maybe like a fanfic contest or something??? With the prize being two tickets to the Premiere???

Ah Morgan!! I'm so glad that you posted this because I've noticed it as well!! People have been dwindling away and I'm not sure why.

I'm so sorry guys that my participation has gone down. It should be going back up very soon. I had my finals this past week, they are finally over, and I've been working on top of that so I haven't had much time for anything. I do apologize. I do want to be here, trust me, no one understands me like you all! LOL.

But now that I'm done with school for the semester, I only need to worry about work. Which is essentially not a problem. And I am getting a new lap top in a few days, so I'll be on everywhere I am. LOL

I am actually on vacation.. although it has adversely had an opposite effect on me, I find myself with more time than ever to be on the computer but somehow don't.. Sorry! I am taking summer classes.. which will mean I need to distract myself with something (Twilight-related of course).

Contest would be fun.. I've tried racking my brain for an idea of what, but haven't come up with anything. I think also part of it might be that now filming is over, we aren't CONSTANTLY being updated with juicy tidbits, things are dying down for a bit..

I like the fanfic/graphics ideas.. and while it would be great to have tickets to the premiere (lol) I don't now if that's possible.. but we could like.. hug each other? (yea, I got nothing).

Sorry - school just finished for me and I've been giving lots of my Twilight MySpaces complete makeovers. I'm almost done though, so I should be on more often now!

I've been dealing with school too! I think that contests would be fun: fanfic, art, cover contest for the new book, we could do a prediction contest...I will brainstorm.

I think part of it might be that the newness is wearing off, thus the excitement is too for some people. Then those of us who still get on and post regularly can only beat a topic to death so many ways, you know?

no wayyyy. the excitement never wears off...i am thoroughly annoying everyone at work every day by talking about edward and bella nonstop. haha.

no one ever seems to be on here when i am...maybe we could have meetings or something...like...everyone plan to show up at a certain time and we can all "hang" haha

As for myself, I've been getting piled with homework and only squeeze a limited time to Twilight forums.

I was pondering this the other day and I thought that maybe because we don't have enough topics to talk about or something. At Twilight Teens there are always new topics to post to and all that good stuff. I'm aware this has to do with the insane amount of members Twilight Teens has but I think we should shed a bigger light here. I don't know what to suggest but I shared my thoughts on the matter. I love Twilight Academy and I want this to become big and all that jazz. I just don't know how to make it happen.

On the notion of topics, the Lexicon always has interesting topics (but they are beat to death by all the pre-teens and such.) So we could always search through the lexicon for interesting topic ideas so we can discuss them amongst ourselves

Agreed. Plus, we're way more fun that both of them...minus the connections to Summit/Stephenie of course.

Yeah I've noticed that as well...but there is only one thing that kind of ticks me off.

It happens to ALL forums...every single one.

There are too many people not actually reading posts prior to theirs, just the question ...and then answering. So there isn't really a respnose to a lot of posts, just answers afterwards if you get my drift. I know if there is about 9 pages...of course people aren't going to read all 8 pages, but still. It just always aggravates me when I see people have already said the exact same thing and instead of agreeing with more information, they just repeat it. And then it just becomes individual opinions instead of conversation.

That IRKS me..mucho. It was fine earlier, it was actually great earlier, but recently it's been more like I said above.

A contest sounds like a great idea. Fan Fic is good...maybe a great question and then the person that answers it best. So a puzzle-question based on Twilight where you have to think.

For instance...I know this isn't going to be good. If Jasper and Emmett had met prior to their becoming a vampire, without the added strength etc. who would win and why?

The answer would have to be explained well, with a definite side. For instance:

Jasper would win the fight because he had karisma which would make Emmett feel comfortable with him and not wish to fight him in the first place. Emmett would make more mistakse because of this comfort around him.
Instead of:
Emmett because he's so strong.

Get it? That would be fun to me.

I am still trying to figure out some fresh ideas for us to start on topics and such.

I really think the contest thing would be fun, and also as for new topics I agree with the idea of trolling Lexicon for topics here.

I do have the questions that will be asked at the Border's book discussion that I am leading for Twilight this week....I could post them as topics I suppose. Some of the would be pretty interesting, I think.
