Do we have a thread where we can share how we first discovered Twilight, besides the introduce yourself post? I think we should make one if we don't have one. I wanna hear about others experiences with discovering the book.
i was thinking the exact same thing. but i didn't really wanna post that topic because technically you're supposed to say it in the introduction...and i didn't wanna get in trouble for spamming, lol.
but yeah...i'd love to hear other people's "twilight stories" as well.

I'm kinda sad that I don't know any guys who genuinely like Twilight.
i don't even know any guys who've read it
coming to think about it, i barely know any guys at all lol
i mostly have female friends...i'm no good with boys xD
but i'd love to meet one who's read twilight...and liked it...i'd be like "will you be my edward cullen?" lol (probably even if i don't like him, just for the sake of it)

short version: i slowly managed to get seceral of my friends to read the books. some are obsessed now, some aren't. but in general, i almost always have someone to talk to about it around

I'm soooo happy!! I'll tell you why:
Yesterday I was in my lecture at TAFE, when I asked a good friend what she's doing her presentation on. She replied Romania. I went ooh how nice. She's doing it sort of like myths and legends of Romania, which includes...VAMPIRES!
I said to her, "Here's a myth. Vampires can go out in the sun. They just glitter if they do."
She replied "OMG you've read Twilight too!"
I was soooo happy because until then I didn't know ANYBODY else in my town who liked Twilight. She's not obsessed as I am, but loves the story anyway. I'm lending her New Moon and Eclipse, because she hasn't read them yet!! _________________
haha now we have our little inside jokes/hints to determine whether a person is a twilighter or not...just tell them vampires glitter in the sun and wait fo the reaction!
My boyfriend's theory....he has now moved on to New Moon. (200 pages in one sitting last night, I am so proud.)
He begged, seriously, begged, for me to post this, because he knows I am on here a lot. Yeah, he's 21. And very mature.
Eric's theory as to why Edward watches Bella sleep.
"He waits for her to be in a deep sleep and then pushes on her stomach, causing her to fart, and not smell as appealing."
I know. They always have the maturity of an 8 year old, despite their actual age.
He did wake me up last night just to say that he really appreciated how after Edward leaves Bella, there are the blank pages that say the months, and how much he really appreciated that. He said it was an excellent way to show time passing, blah blah.
There is some hope for him. I feel like I have my own twilightguy, he's just not as mature about it as Kaleb.

i was just wondering....do the guys who read it actually like bella? or do they think she's annoying? (mostly because all of the talking, uhm swooning! about edward, lol)
and do you think that more guys will read midnight sun? coz lately, i've been thinking of midnight sun (and possibly the rest of the books from edwards pov) as the "boys' books" and the regualr twilight series as the "girls' books"...which sort of makes sense. to me at least.

What I've heard from two of my guy friends so far and from my husband, they all think Bella is "hott" (yep, with the extra 'T'). So I'm guessing they like her.
I know that my husband will read Midnight Sun since his favorite character so far-that I'm guessing-is Edward Cullen; I find it kind of tragic that my husband is obsessed with it even more than I am. Is it a good thing that he loves Twilight while I just like it very much? I dunno, but he hasn't placed himself down yet for not being Edward, so I'm all good so far... _________________

lol actually i quite like tha fact that men get obsessed with twilight as well...it kind of takes the clichée of the squeeing teenage girl readers away, you know?
and if your hubby takes up some of edward's gentleman-like charcter traits...well, taht wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen right? ^^ _________________ oh Cedric....you're hotter when you're Edward Cullen!
Rob, you can stand under my umbrella - also when it's not even f*cking raining

So today I gave my friend New Moon and Eclipse so that she could read them, and we passed our friend Josh in the college corridor. I had told Jo (my friend) to hold the books so that the spines were showing, thus maximising the publicity of the books (we're doing Marketing atm!) and she was.
We stopped to talk to Josh, and he asked Jo what books she was reading, and upon showing him, he replied "Oh no! Those books are evil! Keep them away from me! My little sister has plagued me with them!"
To which I responded, "You only think their evil cos it involves romance and you hate mushy stuff."
But anyways, he shot down my beloved Edward and I put him back in his place! _________________
i wish i had a guy to talk about the books!!! i got all my friends into the twilight books!! but i would still like to have a guy friend who has read them
